FREE Energy Code Training to HBR Members and the trade community to support the transition to the 2025 ECCCNYS.  We will offer 3 training sessions to include 6 topics.

2025 ECCCNYS Overview: What You Need to Know

Gain a clear understanding of the major updates in the 2025 ECCCNYS compared to the the 2020 version.  This course breaks down key changes affecting residential construction, including compliance pathways, electrification requirements, and updates across core building systems.  Key topics include: 

• Changes to compliance pathways & electric design requirements 
• Updates to thermal envelopes, mechanical systems, ventilation, and lighting 
• Guidance on Additional Efficiency Requirements (R408)

2025 ECCCNYS & Existing Homes: What You Need to KNOW 

Focused on the often-overlooked area of existing residential buildings, this course explains how the energy code applies to additions, alteration, repairs, and change of occupancy/use.  Key topics include: 

• Applying energy code to existing homes and renovations
• Identifying common problems with projects that don't consider the energy code
